According to PBS (and yes, I’m going to reference this article a few times this week), laughter provides cognitive benefits in the form of increased creativity and enhanced problem solving ability. That’s pretty good.
I’ve seen this in my own life in brainstorming. When I sit down and brainstorm, I often come up with laughable or ridiculous ideas. And while I don’t implement the truly absurd, I do usually find a path while exploring the absurdity.
