Taking in Information

Taking in Information

On the Myers Briggs, how a person gathers information breaks down into Sensing or INtuition. People who are Sensing prefer to deal in concrete terms, gathering facts and data from the five physical senses. They focus on details and what is immediately evident. People who are INtuition (abbreviated “N” rather than “I”) take in information by looking for patterns and the big picture. They focus on how they interpret their sensory data and look for what is beyond the immediate.

Neither of these patterns is bad, and of course everyone uses both methods to gather information. This week we’ll have some challenges for you to stretch yourself in both areas!
