What’s Your Story?

What’s Your Story, Morning Glory?

Our reality is created by our words and the words of others. This is a bold claim, but one hidden within most strains of faith and mysticism. We are fascinated by stories and story tellers. We call a good book or movie “escapism,” because diving into a different story is exactly how we escape our own stories.

What stories are you telling yourself?

When I work with people, what I always discover is that their reality doesn’t work largely because of the stories they are telling. Of course, there are toxic situations and people that make life unpleasant, but so many of us STAY with those people and situations because we can’t escape. Maybe we actually see the danger, but don’t know what else to do, as in the recent (and lovely) Cinderella movie.

We limit ourselves all the time.

I’m not talking about healthy limits: like setting boundaries or anger management. I’m talking about bottling up our potential and freedom. I’m talking about the famous Marianne Williamson quote, you know, the one that contains the line: “It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.”

And this fear extends from our deepest selves to our most surface. We don’t lose the weight, or go to the gym, or open up to that stranger, because we are afraid of our power.

tweetSome of us don’t even realize how powerful we are.

Are you ready to fly?

I’ve been writing and rewriting my limiting beliefs for over a decade and I ADORE teaching others this powerful tool.
